Windshields are not built to last a lifetime Tom. In fact, damages on your windshield are unavoidable. Not to mention, your windshield may also be damaged from vandals or reckless driving.
Whatever the reason is, there would come a time that your windshield needs to be replaced and you need to have windshield installation. Unfortunately, this process can be quite pricey. If the damage on your windshield is not that serious, then you may opt to have it repaired since this will save you more. At present, there are windshield repair solutions that feature Pre-resin Injection Suspension Method (PRISM) and other techniques that include resin being injected into the cracks with or without the help of a vacuum. This process normally takes about few minutes or an hour to be completed, depending on the size of the crack on your windshield. You can also use such solution to repair seriously scratch windshield.
