How do I know if my windshield replacement was done right?

So I just had my windshield replaced yesterday and they came to my house to do it. I drove my car today and thought I could hear more of the outside (engine noise, wind) while driving it. Maybe I'm hallucinating it. I've heard that if you replace a windshield your car will never be the same again. I drive a Lexus and am pretty used to not hearing much sound from the outside. Also when they reattached the rearview mirror onto the windshield they left a little gap between the ceiling and the mirror (so it not flush and you can see it obviously). Do you think I should go back to the shop and have them take a look at these things. This is my first windshield installation job I've ever had done.

    if you have any doubts about the workmanship of a windshield installation contact the installer right away bad windshield installations can be dangerous

    lots of ignorant people will tell you your car will never be the same after a repair. that's not true if it's done right. it's possible you hear a little more wind noise if the moulding around the glass isn't flush and sticks up a lot, but it could be your imagination especially if you expected something to go wrong ahead of time. as for the other stuff, definitely point it out to them. it should look exactly the same as original

    I would go back and have them look at it. You should not hear any new noise.
